Triskaidekaphobia- The fear of the number 13.
Example: "Billy Hart suffers absolutely no triskaidekaphobia. The Salem Avalanche infielder has worn No. 13 for six years…."
... It's true- look it up.

Uh...Why?
Uh… Why? The question that sparks a light under the world for answers. That mobilized millions. That inspired the future.

March of Madness
I died one night. It was a mistake at first. I was on a roof top, near the edge, there were some loose rocks. I slipped. And as I was falling, all I could think of was all the things I wasn’t proud of. Not just things that were directly connected to me, but things that others did, in the past, and the present, that influenced my life, and the time I had to live in. I was selfish. I see that now. Selfish to think that I had no say in how things were run. Selfish to believe that what I did had no consolation to the works of my surrounding.
I caught a ledge halfway down. My fingers tightly gripped the brick face. I looked down, and past my dangling legs were brightly colored lights, emitted from the cars below. It was the first time I realized it was the middle of the night. I thought about the people below, the ones in the cars. The ones who run so fast through life, they never stop and look up at the stars. Never stop and look up, and maybe see me hanging there. They’re the ones caught up in doing everything possible to make their lives better. The ones who pass by an opportunity to help another have a better life. The ones seeded in selfish ambitions and arrogant knowledge. That’s when I decided to die. I loosened my grip on the edge. I looked down one last time. the streets below were now just streaks of colored light now. I let go. I let go. I let go. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. I let go. Again and again. I let go… I let go… And then I woke up.

The New Year
I really should take this time to reflect on the last year, or ten years that have lead to 2010, but who should really dwell on the past, but rather strive for the future? So, this year- I expect a lot to happen. It will be an amazing year I predict... Unfortunately, I cannot say that my use of the word "amazing" comes with the intonation of "good" or "positive", bu rather with the uncertain knots that tangle your stomach before something amazingly awful or horrific or just plain bad occurs. I hate to be the pessimist here, but the cards have been stacked against the good.
Of course, don't lose hope, for a year seems to be as good as you make it. I suppose it's how you hold your attitude through the good, the bad, and the ugly, that defines what kind of year it's been. So, I will enter this new year with the most high tech weaponry, and the most sophisticated armor on, but I'll make sure to put smiley face stickers on them. Happy New Year world, better watch out.

New Chapter
Well, I'm starting a new chapter in my life- living in West Palm Beach FL for a few months, trying desperately to get a job in the industry I chose to work in. I'm finding this more difficult than I had anticipated, though I know God is already setting up the job He wants me to work- so not many worries here. I'm living off pennies, but displaying them as gold.
I don't miss Nashville though- I'm glad to have moved away, three years was plenty for that southernland, got my taste and now moving to the next new thing.
West Palm is about an hour above Miami, it's weather is that of a drugged out hippie, full of cool breezes and mild to no rain. It's rays of sun are perfect with the once in a while burst of heat that purifies one's pores and leaves you dry and hung out.
I'll be looking for a job ANYWHERE- USA or elsewhere, FL or elsewhere- anywhere I can find one. I'm not rooted down ( I don't even have a dwelling place to my own- I'm sleeping on the floor of an office which is used daily, so I have to put my bed away every morning). I'm ready to pickup and move if need be. Or stay right here, where eventually I should earn my way and excel into a one bed bedroom where not only would I not have to put my bed away each morning, I could leave my underwear lying around. Oh the joy of that privilege- how I long to embrace that day with open arms.
Well, for now I have to suffer by the pool side, and lay eggs in the sandy beaches, and walk the rough paths of the golf courses. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine scavenging for good films at the drive-in and helping the planes land. Check back to this blog often, I will be updating it a lot more now (another curse of not having a job- you all must suffer!).
